[ Description ]
The Pipeline® 130 dedicated and dial-up remote access router is designed for corporate sites with expanding Internet connectivity needs or remote offices connecting to the corporate LAN. Its integrated functionality provides an easy migration path from ISDN to frame relay or dedicated leased-line services, and can back up mission-critical applications.
[ Management ]
Lets you manage all Pipeline 130 functions via your choice of interfaces, either locally or remote. Provides SNMP MIBs, NavisAccess™, password-protected Telnet remote management, local management via VT-100 terminal, WAN loopbacks, and PPP Link Quality Management.
[ Remote Networking ]
Multiprotocol routing and bridging. Offers robust support for standard
protocols to ensure efficient connectivity and multivendor interoperability. Routes TCP/IP, IPX, or AppleTalk. Uses BCP standard bridging to bridge all protocol. Supports PPP, frame relay (RFC 1490), Multilink Protocol (MP) and Multilink Protocol Plus™ (MP+).
Dial-up and dedicated WAN services. Provides two WAN ports, giving you the flexibility to connect to a broad range of WAN services. Each Pipeline 130 model comes with a different combination of WAN interfaces.
Standards-based frame relay support. Lets remote offices and Internet users connect to inexpensive frame relay services at speeds ranging from 56 Kbps to 1.544 Mbps.
Connectivity. Makes it easy and cost-effective to connect to corporate headquarters and the Internet via SmoothConnect™. Allows even novice users to configure and set up their Pipeline for access. Reduces costs by making efficient use of bandwidth.
[ Security ]
Supports user authentication, making it easy to manage security for large-scale remote access applications.
Offers encrypted token card security, Telnet passwords, and optional connection to the SecureConnect™ firewall.
Uses callback to ensure connections are made with known users, and filters transmit and receive packets.
